AI Tools for School Administrators
Named tools for named admin tasks: report drafting, agenda assembly and family communications. Each one makes a draft from a template on your device, and Improve with AI writes it with your own AI key. AI drafts; administrators review and act.

Questions teachers ask
What administrative tasks can OpenEduCat’s AI tools handle?
The writing-heavy and assembly-heavy work that absorbs administrator time: drafting recurring reports and board narratives, preparing staff meeting agendas, drafting parent and family communications and assembling policy-document first drafts. Every output is a draft that an administrator reviews and owns; the AI does the first pass, never the decision.
How do the admin tools protect student data?
The draft is made from a template on your device. With Improve with AI on, your notes go straight from your browser to the AI provider you chose, under your own agreement with them, never to OpenEduCat, and your key stays on this device. Leave student names out of your notes; a generator refuses an email address or a phone number. Your own review decides whether that meets FERPA, GDPR or your local law.
Can these AI tools connect to our existing student information system?
No. The tools draft from what you type into them; they do not connect to a student information system.
Who controls what the AI costs?
You do. Improve with AI runs on your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini, so the provider bills you for what you use, and you set any limits with them. With Improve with AI off, the generators make their drafts from templates.
Does OpenEduCat’s AI make scheduling or staffing decisions automatically?
No. The tools only draft text, such as reports, agendas and letters, for an administrator to review, edit and send. Nothing here makes staffing, scheduling or admission decisions, predicts enrollment, forecasts budgets or scores students.
