How to make a word scramble
- Type your words, one per line or with commas. A theme, such as Animals, goes in the title.
- Turn on hints to print the first letter of each word on its line.
- Press Build sheet, then print the words and the answer key.
Questions teachers ask
Can a scrambled word come out as the word itself?
No. A word with two or more different letters always comes out in a new order. A word such as aaa, with one letter only, is shown as it is with a note.
Does it work with Hindi, Arabic or Vietnamese words?
Yes. Words are mixed up by the letters a reader sees, so a Hindi conjunct or a letter with its marks always stays together.
How many words fit on one sheet?
Up to 100 words. A page holds 44 short words in two columns; a longer list goes on to the next page, and no word is ever cut.
