Use the gradebook

Add assessments with their maximum marks and weights, type the marks, and see each student's total and grade.

Add marks

  1. Open Gradebook and add an assessment with its name, its maximum marks and its weight.
  2. Type each student's mark. Enter moves down the column.
  3. Each student's total and letter grade appear as you type.

How totals work

  • Totals use the weights as you give them. If the weights do not add up to 100, the page says so.
  • A missing mark is left out of that student's total, and a mark above the maximum is refused.
  • Grade boundaries start at A 85, B 70, C 55 and D 40, and you can change them.

The gradebook is your working record. It makes no report cards, and nothing in it is shared with students or parents.
