Word cloud and scale polls

Ask for a word cloud

1. Add a Poll and write the question.
2. In the settings, choose Word cloud as the kind of question.
3. Turn on Remote voting. Students type one to three words on their phones at tools.openeducat.org/join.

Show the words

• The poll shows how many answered. The words stay hidden until you tap Show answers.
• The words sent most are the largest. Tap a word and choose Hide this word to take it off the board.
• Words on the word filter of the board language never show, and the poll says how many it hid. A phone cannot send a link or an email address.

Ask on a scale

1. Choose Scale 1 to 5 as the kind of question.
2. Name the two ends if you like, for example Not sure and Very sure.
3. The poll shows the five bars and the average.

Export an exit ticket

• In the settings, choose Export results. The CSV file has the question, the kind, each answer or word with its count, and the average of a scale.
• It never holds a name, a token or the time of a vote.
