Cursive writing generator

Type the words, pick a handwriting model, then print a cursive sheet to trace.

Make a cursive sheet

  1. Open the cursive writing generator from All tools and sign in with Google, Microsoft or a code we email you.
  2. Type the words or sentences, one on each line. Each line gets its own model line.
  3. Pick the Handwriting model: United States, United Kingdom, India, Vietnam or Indonesia. The page starts with the one for your language. Then pick the level and how many lines follow each model line.
  4. Press Build sheet, then choose A4 or Letter and press Print or Download PDF.

Good to know

  • The model line uses a font with its own guide lines, so children see how tall each part of a letter is.
  • Half the lines after a model line are grey letters to trace; the rest are empty lines to write on.
  • KG and Grade 1 lines are 15 mm tall with a 5 mm middle band; Grade 2 lines are 12 mm with a 4 mm band.
  • The cursive fonts cover Latin letters only. A Hindi or Arabic text gets an outline of the print letters to trace, and the sheet says so.
